August 29, 2014 at 9:34 pm #235346Nice looker, More pics on E-BayBillThe is a great little car. It is titled as a 1968 ASPE CV. It is a replica of a 1952 MG-TD.
Assembly completed in 1981 by Richard A. Heierling. Engine runs good, no smoke,
however; you do have to pump the gas a few times to start. My uncle has owned this
car for 5 years or so. Please look at pictures carefully. There are scratches, scuffs, rust
on bumpers, and a small bit of fiberglass spidering as shown in the pictures. The
gauges are not hooked up/not working. The Seat bottoms rest in place and are not
secured. There is a nice boot cover that will convey. The top that conveys will need
repair. The clear “glass/plastic” (back and sides) need replaced. There is also a boot
cover for the top that will convey. The metal hoop structure for the top is in good
condition. I have leg issues so the clutch is stiff for me. The brakes have a long throw. I
just took my wife out on a little cruise in the car this evening (Sunday-8/24/2014) and we
did not have the first issue. It is a blast to drive. I love the solid wood dash. VW motor
provides plenty of power. The clear title, that is in hand, indicates a weight of 2,584 lbs.
It seems mechanically sound, but I am NOT a mechanic. The fuel tank is in the front.
The rear “spare tire” and fuel cap are just for show. If you are looking for a showroom,
mint condition vehicle, this is not the right vehicle for you. However, if you are looking for
a fun, peppy, convertible “run around” to enjoy, then come and get it! It is an amazing
head turner! I have a perfect rating and I would like to keep it that way!PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE email or call with questions. I will send videos, additional
pictures, or use FaceTime, etc to make sure you are comfortable with the purchase and
that you know what you are buying. I want you to be pleasantly surprised when you
receive this vehicle. Please ask me any questions you may have:)$500.00 non-refundable deposit due within 24 hours of end of auction.
Buyer is fully responsible for shipping and/or vehicle pickup arrangements. Paypal
deposit of $500.00 is non-refundable and must be sent within 24 hours. Deposit must be
