The original MGTD Midget used only one reverse light. Not certain if our TDRs need one or two. So who is running one and who is running two reverse lights. I think one is enough but hey…that’s why they call me “The Geezer!” Oh yeah……….STAY OFF MY LAWN! lol

November 29, 2014 at 4:02 pm #262295I had one before the engine swap and then none because my sender broke. I replaced the sender when i had the engine out and now will try the wires again and see if it works.

November 30, 2014 at 5:54 pm #262303Well way back when I first started, Paul sent me a link to the an MGTD Midget site. I wrote the big guy that operates the site about the reverse light and I include his rapid response here.

There
never was an option for a back up light but interestingly there is a plug on
the transmission and an optional switch you could install to activate one.allen caron wrote:
Just went through your excellent site and have a question on
lighting. Was there a reverse lamp to aid the driver while backing-up? If so, were there one or two reverse lamps?Thank you very much.

If you have a VW based kit, the switch is already in your trans.
