I agree with you Mark. But…
Daytons will run over $2,000 for a set of four. Nobody ever said Truspokes were cheap. But for someone commited to real wires, they ae less than Dayton.

January 21, 2010 at 6:03 pm #240500Back on wheel kick, Looking thru mam catalogue and they have some neat rims and caps. The rims are set for VW cars and the caps come plain or logoed. Also, they show spinners forsale Prices all seemveryreasonable anyone have any dealings with them. Good or Bad?

January 24, 2010 at 6:04 pm #240503So I was at the local pick & pull yesterday getting lug nuts to fit my current project, a home-made potter’s wheel for Karen. Took them off a Nissan Sentra & looked down at the steel wheel on same.
15 x 6, 4-bolt pattern, with 15 holes ’round the rim.
Remarkably similar to an MG TD.
I shelled out $14 and brought the wheel home. The bolt holes won’t line up, but otherwise it looks promising. Looks like the offsets are about the same as the VW wheels–maybe a half inch further out than stock (as it’s a half-inch or so wider).
I’m thinking of buying one of Moss’s repro TD hubcaps to see it it’ll fit. Before I spend that $25, I figured I’d ask: am I blazing a new trail here or has someone tried this already? If it’s been tried, what was the result?
