No. I’m not posting pics of the snow outside my window. That’s what Facebook is for. LOL.
But this may be the coolest snow-trac car ever (from Carlisle Productions):

February 13, 2014 at 11:23 pm #259674February 14, 2014 at 8:41 am #259675I like it, but it needs a big snow blower on the front.
February 14, 2014 at 8:49 am #259676A gull winged snow cat. For those of us who spent a good deal of their lives up north, it is not possible to look at this VW-cat without smiling.
I do wonder how it is steered. I see a steering wheel where I would have expected levers.Royal2014-02-14 08:51:02
February 14, 2014 at 11:40 am #259677There goes Roy again, getting all practical on us!
I’ve tried to find some info about the car, but all I come up with is the picture.

This looks like the basic idea. Note the steering mechanism.
Oh, but wait. This is better.

February 14, 2014 at 4:39 pm #259680These guys have a lot more $$$$ than me to play with. My brother, before his stroke, wanted to make a TD replica into pick up truck. If I had the bucks I’d do it for him, maybe with tracks!! (:

February 14, 2014 at 10:21 pm #259682Yep that’s what he had in mind.
February 15, 2014 at 8:25 am #259683If I had to mount a pickup bed I think that the short and narrow Ford Model T pickup bed style would work with the lines of an MG TD.
February 15, 2014 at 8:52 am #259684That Moss Pickup TD was all custom, and has an impressive pedigree as it was built by George Beavis. The Beavis Special of the time used an Offenhauser engine to good effect. The original was a basically stock TD body, though by two years later he had streamlined it to unrecognizability.
I’ve not been able to find any pics of the original (here’s someone guessing, but…), and only one or two of the Version III body. Always thought a replica of the original Beavis Special with, say, a carbed Olds Quad4 (or maybe an Ecotech) standing in for the original Offy unit would be a crowd-pleaser.edsnova2014-02-15 09:14:59
February 20, 2014 at 1:05 pm #259685I know it isn’t a MG, and it isn’t a snow cat, and you thought this thread was closed, but isn’t this Georgia Department of Transportation snow plow cute?Royal2014-02-20 13:11:04
February 20, 2014 at 4:06 pm #259686That’s hysterical Roy. Any idea what it is, er…was?
