I sit “tall in the saddle” literally!   (*a Chris Ledoux line).  That is to say that though I wear only 30″ inseam trousers, I should be 6’4″ but am in fact only 6′.  So what?  Well I have one of the short windscreen Daytonas whose windshield is almost exactly 2″ shorter than many/most of the other kit models.  Mine is almost exactly 12″ from fiberglass to the top of the frame at the center.  Part of the reason that I usually stay below 60 mph is that I really get windblown from air over the top of the windscreen.  

Moss motors sells what they call a sun visor to go on the top of the frame.  Do any of you have experience with these?  Does/would it cut down the direct blast and help me from becoming wind burnt?

 Roy,I have them on mine and they do help a lot even though I have a tall windshield and w/ my seat fix I now
sit much lower then before – have you done the fix? It will lower you 2 – 4″ I would guess.
That being said – I get most of my wind from the side and the rear.

Not so easy to lower the seat on a Daytona MiGi.  I would have to move the battery and with the bench seat, can gain only about 1″.

if you alls windsheild is like mine with blunt edge aft toward the cockpit and thin edeg fwd Moss visors wont work on our TDr’s

Roy, remind me of this when we see each other. I’d like to see your rig and show you the BCW seats. If Schu comes there’s another look and I’m pretty sure Bill, who looks to be about 6’3–6’4″, will demonstrate how his is assembled. 

I believe you will be inspired and, if your original windshield idea proves impractical, a seat-lowering project may be only improbable.
