Would anyone be interested in a TD Replica tech meet/swap/show/rallye in the spring? I live in New Bern, NC and would consider donating my place as the host. Might be a good location considering such a large number of members live in NC. I have space for about 30 TDs on my lawn and driveway and would be willing to do a lot of the scheduling/set-up & planning. I realize that without a date yet, no one can commit but if it “fit” would you be interested?
November 28, 2011 at 11:00 am #247946Interesting idea Roy. If fits in my work schedule I’d come just to be with other members and tech talk about our TDs even though mine’s not built yet. And you’re not too awfully far away from the middle of Georgia. newkitman40875.5828472222

November 28, 2011 at 8:09 pm #247948You’re about 400 miles south of me. That’s pretty doable, I think.
November 29, 2011 at 4:11 pm #247949I would certainly be up for a ride.
November 29, 2011 at 4:49 pm #247950Me too…if timing is good and if I have my damn car back…and the engine rebuilt!

December 17, 2011 at 3:48 pm #247951what a great idea. I won’t be able to make it, but I think it would be a wonderful opportunity for anyone who can go.
December 17, 2011 at 4:20 pm #247952I figger that I’ll just wait until the end of Jan or so and see how much interest there is. 35 years ago, I belonged to a T club in Virginia Beach and we met about once a quarter at the home of a fellow that owned a whole bunch of T types and a few that were much older (Y’s etc). It was always a lot of fun and each of us learned a great deal from the other guys mistakes. I wish that I had a lift and all the spares for sale that he had (he seemed to have more in his garage than Moss Motors) but, oh well. A little swap meet usually occurs without prompting. I will be posting a bunch of questions and trying to get a feel what you all would like in the way of a show/touring New Bern/tech meet/rallye/when/how many days? etc. Realizing of course that it may be impossible to find something that you ALL would agree upon. (Except how great these little cars are as a relatively inexpensive and fun hobby.)
So, if you read this post and have any interest at all, please respond. I have not lost interest, just waiting to see how much interest there is out there among you all. (y’all) Actually “y’all” is singular “all y’all” is plural.
December 17, 2011 at 5:05 pm #247953Sounds like a good run south for the Va/Md/Del and vermont? group.

January 6, 2012 at 5:56 pm #247957Sounds like fun. I’m still looking for a trailer for Carisle, maybe I’d get to use it twice.
January 20, 2012 at 11:22 am #247958Sounds good Roy. I drove it home to Indiana from Orlando Florida, so your place is real close. It all depends when it happens. Keep us posted.
March 5, 2012 at 7:37 am #247959Hey guys, I didn’t forget about the hoped tech meet and am not to sort to promise something and not deliver. BUT, I forgot that my VaTech bound atheltic scholarship lacross playing granddaughter is playing in her last year and I have never seen her play at Vero Beach. With our trip to Carlisle following shortly after I return, I must renege. Perhaps in the fall. Sorry, Roy

Randy in Chandler Arizona, great B-bopp'in teritory. I must have the only one in the country made by Rich Industries in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, on a 1986 Ford Cortina (english ford escort) It's a 1600cc straight four cylinder front engne, 4 speed, changed from right side driver to left side with several shafts and u-joints. BEBOP because I once had an MGB with license plate MG-BEPOP in Virginia.
March 6, 2012 at 10:30 am #247966Look forward to meeting everyone any time…!!!
