    @tomscs

    I am going to replace the severely corroded fender mirrors on my CMC MGTD. It appears that the ground wires from the turn signals are attached to the mirror bolt. The turn signals are working ,but is this an unusual setup?

     Tomscs, The turn signal must be grounded to the chassis and if the mirror mounts thru both the fender and the metal fender support bracket, it would save running a wire all the way back to the chassis to attach it to the mirror instead. Hope this helps .   Larry Murphy

    Based solely on my experience with my Classic roadsters Duchess, the fender mirrors bolt through fibergalss only…they are no where near any metal that is, in turn, connected to the chassis.

    Your kit may be different. And if the mirrors do bolt through metal that is somehow connected to the chassis, then yes, you coudl run a short ground wire from the turn signals to the fender mirror bolts.
