Hate reading this thread. (Not really, but ya’ll know what I mean.)
Turns out both feet will be in protective boots for a few weeks after my surgery. So I won’t be able to drive, not even my normal daily drivers.
And the doc really wants me taking it easy for a few weeks post-op. Would one of ya’ll please tell Susanne she should be bringing my meals to me on the couch for the month of October? I’m afraid to!
Enjoy! I’m expecting lots of great pics and stories from the road.

October 7, 2017 at 4:31 pm #304161Hey peeps what’s up re caravanning down from PA/MD/NoVA?
Schu, we meeting you at Horne’s again? Or you want a different thing?
Bill, you still feel like meeting me at our gas station in Glen Burnie?
October 7, 2017 at 6:14 pm #304164Ed,
Up for anything – need this break bad – can meet at Horne’s again or another place – took the whole day off and already down here so am flexible. Would like to do the earlier run like last year so we don’t get caught up in the Friday night traffic.
October 7, 2017 at 7:50 pm #304165That route is a pretty good run. Ed, I’ll meet you at the gas station. 8:00 again?

"Drive Happy"October 7, 2017 at 8:23 pm #304166Sounds like a plan then. Gas station on W. Nursery Rd. and then Hornes for early lunch, gas up and try for VA Beach b4 rush hour.
October 9, 2017 at 9:34 am #304176Tut tut, looks like rain on Friday a.m. Not too bad after that tho.
October 9, 2017 at 5:49 pm #304179Only showing 20% rain right now on Friday below DC – might not be a big deal. We will know better in a couple of days.
71 on Friday – 80’s the rest of the time.
October 9, 2017 at 9:01 pm #304180Rain-X’d the windshield. Made a new ground for the tail lights (what a difference!). Tightened the left front wheel bearing (why does that one keep loosening??). Put a little air in the tires: 18 front and 26 rear, 26 in the spare. Ready.
October 12, 2017 at 9:42 am #304194Sad to be sitting here on the couch.
But looking forward to your stories and pictures from the road and from the show.

"Drive Happy"October 17, 2017 at 9:17 am #304204Saw this a bit late Bill. but thank you for the offer. I’m still not able to drive, so even if I saw it on time, I would have had to decline.
Looking forward to the pictures and stories from the weekend!

October 22, 2017 at 4:56 pm #304211A wet weekend. The top was up on Ed’s car when we hooked up outside Baltimore. We all arrived in Port Royal at almost the same time. Ed and I had just parked when Shu arrived, topless. After breakfast we took off and before too long we stopped and Shu put his top on. I was dry and comfortable driving the Forester. No difficulties heading into VA Beach and we beat Jack and Roy. First time that happened. When they arrived Jack was topless in the Bug Eye. Roy was dry in the MINI. Dinner again at Murphy’s. Show day was wet off and on. Just a heavy mist. No one got soaked. No planes were flying as it was not only overcast but the landing strip was wet and soft. Saturday dinner at Nicks. The sun came out on the ride home.
