    OK! It’s on!

Over the years this event has become an annual event for several members. We would really like to see more members add this event to their calendars. Rockstar parking and they group us all on the tarmac in front of the hangers. In years past we have all stayed at the Oceanfront Hotel on the beach.

OK I got a room. Weirdly, I could not get anyone to pick up the phone there over two days.

Yeah same. But I like calling them and this time I couldn’t reach them. Weird.

I have a room and the time off approved. When I tried to get signed up for Rock Star parking it was already filled. It was a couple days after you guys signed up. I asked George to put me on the waiting list. Hopefully I will get moved up.

I might be ready. My car is finally back on the ground after being incapacitated since June.

After the Pagoda Hillclimb I had a rear shock leak all its fluid out. It was 20 years old so I removed the pair and shipped them out to the California manufacturer for a rebuild. These are double adjustable coil overs. Their website states a two week turnaround. After two weeks I called them and they say they don’t have them. I have the delivery confirmation from Fed Ex. After repeated calling I finally get confirmation that they were found and would be put in queue for service. They finally arrived last week while I was out west.  They are now on. I still have some tweaking to do on rear alignment and leveling the car left and right.

    Looking forward to this trip.

Good news, Bill. Lots of weird shipping glitches this year.

    Al,

Is your wife coming? Lois is considering coming this year and she might be more inclined to come if another lady was

    coming as well.

Change of plans. I can’t count on the MG running cool enough to make the trip. I will, instead, take a chance with Roy’s Mini. That’s been trouble free now for quite a while. Just a heads up. Wish me luck.

Well another VA Beach trip is in the books. Unfortunately, the use of the rain date resulted in the loss of the great Ed Ericson but the weather was superb. I left at 5:30 Friday morning and met with Dale at Horne’s for a late breakfast in Port Royal, VA then a beautiful ride along the river on 17 then on into VA Beach. Arrived at 4:30 after 11 hours. Needless to say, my ass was sore. The return trip, took 13 up through Delaware resulting in a 9 hour trip. I made a couple extra stops just to make sure my motor stayed cool.

    Here are a few photos.

I have other photos but this site won’t import them for some reason. I’m getting more and more disappointed in this site.
