VW steering in MG TC

So apparently VW Bug steering boxes have been finding their way into MG TCs for quite many years now, as they fit pretty well with some pittman arm modifications and are considered superior.

Just one more thing to throw in the face of any MG purist you might encounter.

I would tell the story thusly:

“Well,” I’d begin, “She’s a ’49 TC in original trim. But I swapped out the steering box for a VW one a few years back… and it worked so much better that whenever any mechanical issues occurred I just kept swapping out the MG parts for VW Bug stuff until . . . here we are.”
