    Considering coil over front shock as a winter upgrade for my 4 cyl Ford based Fiberfab so I thought it would be prudent to weight the car.  These numbers are with full tank of gas and 200 lb in the driver?s seat.

    Front wheels     1080

    Rear wheels      1160

    Total                     2240

    As a reference the 1974 Mustang II total weight was 2773 with the front weight of 1555.  Cutting the front springs to get the correct ride height makes the car stiffer then the donor vehicle producing a ride that is sort of harsh on rough roads.

    Wow. That’s basically what the original weighed. Also looks like about a 52-48 weight distribution before you sat down in it. I’m guessing those front engine cars can be made to handle very smartly. Thanks for the info.
