hi everybody, does anyone know where i can get 14 inch wheels to fit the chevette bolt pattern with the right offset, i can find a lot of wheels with the right bolt pattern but the offset is way to much, i believe i want a 3.5 or 4 inch offset, thanks
May 21, 2009 at 10:41 am #238929Offset is how far (+ or -) from the center of the wheel the bolt surface is. I think your are referring to Backspace.
Check out the wheels on the Pink MG. These are Chevette pattern (4 x 100mm) wheels with the correct backspace. I bought them from U.S. Wheel in 2005. They are Series 97 wheel, 14 x 6.
There are also shops that can make any 4 x 100 mm steel wheels into any backspace and diameter you want. Wheel Works is one and they are in Bordentown, NJ.
Have you tried Nissan 200SX wheels? They are RWD and may have the right backspace.
A neat bolt pattern reference: http://www.discountedwheelwarehouse.com/Vehicle_Bolt_Pattern _Reference.cfm
And the Chevette experts link:http://members.boardhost.com/Vette_Man/
with this link there:

September 4, 2009 at 1:07 pm #238933The Ford bolt pattern is 4×4.25″ (108mm) and uses a 7/16×20 stud
The Chevette is 4x100mm and uses a 12mmx1.50 stud.
I bought the 14″ wheels that are on Larry Murphy’s BCW Chevette TD from U.S. Wheel. The sit just right on the car too.
Keep in mind that offset is not back space.

September 10, 2009 at 11:07 pm #238938I have been out of town, soory for delay responding.
I have 4 complete basket wire wheels that were on the car for the past 25 years. They are in good condition. I understand you guys need only one wheel each. I can get into the warehouse this weekend and send you photos then.
I will take $40.00 each for them and you pay shipping. I f they were Junk I would not offer them.
Hope this helps.
