I don’t have red walls, but I do have the white ones I bought from Moon Eyes.  Do you want em?

I brought them into a tire shop that tried to put them on, but they were a no-go.  They showed me how they were about an inch too big for my tires, and I read enough forum posts that they were basically garbage that I hadn’t really moved forward with the project. Now I have 5 of them just sitting around.  I tried them on my front tires – 145R15s, and my rears – 165 80/R15, and both were failures.

Would anyone else like to give them a try?  I’ll sell them to you for the postage of mailing them.  As @oldandslow posted (https://tdreplica.com/forums/topic/i-have-discovered-my-hobby/) sometimes it’s just a bust.

I am hoping to try out the rubber sticker idea with tredwear.com – they look cool and still way cheaper than spending the 120ish each for the real thing.  https://tredwear.com/product-category/white-and-red-line

I am reviving this old thread because I have fallen into a deep squirrel hole with the idea of making my own hardtop for Allison (Fiberfab TD model on a VW frame)

I called the number and left an email, but as this thread is 4 years old, I didn’t expect an answer.

I have seen videos and watched tutorials on using foam code board to make a hard top, and I understand almost everything I need to get started.  The big question I still can’t figure out is how you fasten it to the car?

I am planning to carve the hard-top using foam boards (the pink stuff from home depot) , glue sand it to the correct shape, lay down fiberglass with resin epoxy to harden.  What I don’t understand yet is once it is built, how do I attach it to the car?  I’ve looked everywhere for answers but so far I’m stumped.

    Anyone have ideas?
