Which make? VW chassis or front engine?

I race my V8 TD and often remove the windshield while doing so. Wind buffeting is much less with it off and just running a Brooklands. Don’t know if that is an option for you.

This photo is from 2016 on a rally put together by Vicenc Feliu (standing). Cars, besides mine are Ed Ericson’s (foreground) and Dale Schumacher’s (background).

Have you looked into purchasing a matched gauge and sender? There’s a bunch of various offerings on the market.
