What a shame. It didn’t rain here. Very cloudy thou. Went to Elk Neck State Park on Sat. Didn’t drive The Lady. To much chanch of rain.
I will be attending two car shows in Oct. Oct. 1st at Georgetown, DE. (Wings & Wheels) good show. Oct. 15th in Bridgeville, DE (The Apple Scrapple fest). Both very good shows & MG TD replicars are welcome. So if anyone can make it, we can put in a good showing.

YEA 9/24. Come on guys. The Brandywine valley area is the gods gift to the MG TD world. Doesn’t get much better. Narrow roads, twisting curves, heavily wooded and the Brandywine river to boot. I loved to drive it when I owned my “real” 53 MG TD in the 70’s and I am going up to drive it again this Saturday with my Lovely Lady. Would be great if I had some fellow TD’s with me. It was a hard choice, the Brandywine or the beach. This week the Brandywine, next week the beach. I drive always with my Lovely Lady and Lovely Lady 2.
GregJune 30, 2011 at 11:19 am #243615Surely there is a date that we all can get together on. One weekend for the sake of letting the world know we are here and can join in the fun too. How about posting somewhere locally that we exist. There has to be others in your local that have TD replicars that do not know who or where to get in touch with us. A flier would be good. Let’s go guys.
June 11, 2011 at 10:40 pm #244652Hi Almost,
I am getting a late start on Forum use. Better late than never. I am the guy with the BCW/Chevette. The pedal in mine are quite close. Especially the clutch & brake. I can’t wear large shoes. Mine work great with Running shoes. It feels like I am driving with racing shoes. It all works well with me. Your layout looks to be able to work fine. Wish I had your V8. My Chevette 4W/2 barrel carb works just fine. Using a V8 with the narrow wheel base seems scary to me. Hope you decide to use wide tires. That over slung weat in front could be quite interesting in cornering. Best of luck, keep plugging.
GregJune 11, 2011 at 10:18 pm #243806I purchased the Moss luggage rack for my BCW TD. As the guys at Carlisle saw. It can be mounted to the BCW tire rack. I had to fabricate a 3″ extension bracket, top and bottom mount to clear the tier. Once made the rack work just fine and will hold quite a load. Best of luck with the fiber deck lids.
GregJune 9, 2011 at 3:01 pm #240386I got a leather flying cap for Christmas W/Snoopy goggles & silk scarf. Just waiting for colder weather. It has a chin strap.
GregJune 8, 2011 at 4:21 pm #242953Thanks Paul. MY future wife “Lovely Lady” will appreciate that. She is #1 lovely lady. The car is lovely lady #2 .Hope to see you all at another time soon.
GregJune 8, 2011 at 4:12 pm #244855Hi B,
I have a BCW/ Chevette and I love it. The foot pedals are close but the real TD I owned had the same problem; no foot room. The tourque range of the Chevette is very good and fun to drive. I can drive all day in 4th at 50 with no problem. I had a fiberfab/VW and it is a good kit. You can still get body parts in Canada. VW parts are always available from parts houses. The BCW it is imposible to get body parts, but the thickness is very thick. So I feel I will never need body parts inless I have an accident. I bought another body kit over ebay as extras. The seats in my BCW are Chevette slide frames W/ Plywood and foam seat and I have no problem with head height, I am 6’2″. If you are looking for accuracy of reproduction, I have found that the BCW is the best, but they are hard to find. One thing that is fine about the BCW is that I can by chrome replacement parts from Moss catalog. Finally the weight distribution of a front rngine model feels exactly like a real TD. Plus the BCW fools a lot of TD owners because of all the TD parts it used. Hope this helps.
GregJune 7, 2011 at 3:10 pm #242949Sorry you guys did not know me before Carlisle. I live in Smyrna, DE. I am that guy with the Lovely Lady and the Cream BCW/Chevette. You know the one with the loud exhaust.
