Yeah, every forum post I have read says I will be removing the regulator.  Thanks for the input.  Hopefully I can get the kit ordered this week and attempt the install as soon as it gets here!

Finally got the wipers working.  Called most every boat supply store, auto parts, etc. looking for a switch for 2-speed wiper with park, no luck with any of them.  Went over to the Samba site and found several forum post about wiper switches.  Hooked up a simple toggle (on / off / on) by following a drawing that was posted. Wipers are working great!

Thanks Dan – There is a Bass Pro Shop about 30 minutes away.  I’ll also do some checking at 2 other boat places that are closer, too.

Paul – I wish we could have kept both of them, but they were both sold – Can only afford one toy at a time.  Plus not having enough garage space.  Over on the “other rides” section, I just posted pictures of both of these and the current mustang that has assigned space in the garage next to my TD.

I also give the Petronix “thumbs up”.  We have used it on a ’71 Mustang Mach1 – 429CJ, a ’66 Mustang – 289, and my dad’s Ford tractor that was built in the 50’s I think.  Since I haven’t yet been able to drive my VW / TD, I hadn’t even considered it.

Paul – thanks for the link/PDF, the information is very helpful but I do have the wiring complete. I used a universal harness that with easy to follow instructions and color matched diagram.

edsnova – thanks for the picture! This is the same motor I have and now knowing that the very top terminal is ground I can connect wires without fear of setting something on fire – a smoking dash board is never a good thing.Ermm
I didn’t even consider that the motor would be connected to the body from the top side, glad I asked before I started taking the linkage apart, only to find out the hard way.Wacko
Thanks so much – this site and the knowledgeable members are the best!!!

I guess I did not explain correctly, the car does have

wheels now – just needs new ones. Currently have 2 chrome

and 2 steel. The chrome is in real bad shape and probably

easier and cheaper to replace. The tires are holding air

but are really cracked and most likely dry rot. I will try

    posting a picture.

I am a new owner of a ’52 FiberFab Kit on a VW Chassis.

I found this web site because I too need to move the

pedals – a lot closer!! to the seat. I need to move the

pedals at least 12″ closer, but I don’t think I want to

go into cutting all of those holes in the tunnel. I am

thinking of finding another pedal assembly and mounting

it to the floor pan at the distance most comfortable for

driving and then connect the pedals together with rods.

Has anyone done this or even know if it will work?

All information and suggestions are greatly appreciated.
