And while that book is in Phoenix, I’ll get the two other guys in the area to read and sign it. I just talked to BeBop last night briefly. The three of us will need to get together.

I’ll take it to add my name. I have my own copy, but I want to keep that one. I’ll sign it and pass it on. This is the book that I read when I was young that sparked my love of TC and TDs. That love, yet with replicas that are more reliable are with me still today, decades later.

Welcome. I have a London Roadster that I drove down to Phoenix from the Seattle area. Re-built a new block, yet still waiting on parts to get her running again. Can someone rotate our new friends’ photo, please?

When I brought my London Roadster down from Seattle, I so much wanted to come down the PCH. However, I also wanted to see family and friends inland, and with almost daily breakdowns on that trip, I’m glad that help wasn’t too far away. I got lots of waves and honks as modern cars passed me by, it it was a joy to drive, even with the mishaps.

MGLondonRoadste replied to the topic last engine parts due in this week in the forum General Discussion 10 years, 10 months ago
I had new tires put on when I picked up the car near Seattle before I drove it back to within an hour of Phoenix. The engine died, I lost a series of jobs, and I’ve been scrapping by to get the new engine installed. Meanwhile, the poor car sat outside with only a cover, the occasional dead cat and what rain and leaves made their way inside. I’ll…[Read more]

The tires should be around 4 years old, yet the car has been sitting on then basically unmoved for most of that time.

That was also a back-handed insult to her daughter, if you think about it. I’m sure that the car and the young lady were both good looking.

MGLondonRoadste replied to the topic Gas Prices — ASSUME THE POSITION in the forum General Discussion 10 years, 10 months ago
All that I heard when gas was well below $3.00 a gallon was that it wouldn’t last long. Oil companies have large tankers sitting off-shore just waiting for prices to rise again. I won’t be surprised to see $4/gal or even higher soon.

Too funny! Although I fell in love with the MG TC and TD. I quickly learned how much trouble they were to keep running. That’s what caused me to look at and eventually own TDrs

Yes, my sports cars are my mistresses. I’m not currently married but my girl-friend and I might as well be. She says my on-line car forums are my porn and my cars are my mistresses.

We had a classic and antique car show in my neighborhood on Saturday. I, of course did the opposite. I took my cell phone to take photos, not my good, DSLR, and quickly ran out of battery power taking so many pictures. I didn’t get half way through the large showing.
