Classic Roadsters Duchess is one that has an insert between the front fenders.
When I get a chance, I’ll take the comments from the recent posts and update the respective manufacturer posts.PMOSSBERG2013-04-17 11:55:58

The comments from Bruce Stumpp mention live music. Carlisle Production starrted this last year or the year before and have expanded it for 2013. The line-up is below. The only porformer I know anything about is Payton Taylor. Met her last year. Payton isonyl 16 and is billed as “country.” But she has a kick-ass bluesy tone. I’m hoping she hits…[Read more]

Kent,
Something is misaligned or mis-cut at the rear of your car.The engine cover line should be flush with both the rear of the body and the splash pan.If the fiberglass was cut, you may have to live with it. But…From your description, it sounds like the rear of the subframe is too high. It is possible the subframe that supports the… -

Allen,
Sorry. I misunderstood your initial post. It’s probably not critical. My rear splash pan extends all the way under the rear body panel. The body bolt goes through the bottom of the rear body, through the splash pan, through the sub frame. As long as the splash pan and body are both secured, whether they reach or not should not be… -

Welcome back Wobby! Was good to talk with you this afternoon! As far as Friday night goes, I don’t think you’ll cause any problems for Bruce if you do not cruise with the SOG to their dinner. I don’t think they have a finalized a place yet. But attendees do not have to pre-pay. Bruce is keeping a headcount. So if you previously let him know you…[Read more]

Allen,
I took a look through your fotki gallery. I believe stock brackets will not work on your car without mods to the cowl or brackets. Your car has the same extensions on the cowl as my Duchess has (that right angled portion at the 41.5 inch mark)PMOSSBERG2013-04-15 13:56:11

In the post that started this thread, Allen asks if original fold down brackets will fit “our” cars.
Well…that depends! Here’s the challenge as it applies to a Classic Roadsters Duchess.Look at the picture of an original TD windshield mount first:On the Duchess, the cowl is molded with extensions that allow the windshield frame… -

I like the nail in the front hood hinge. This looks like a solid deal, reasonably priced. Heck, the wires alone are worth 25 to 50% of the asking price.

But one never really knows with an auction.Post in in the classifieds section here as well. We do get visitors looking for cars or kits. But just a thought… It sat for this many years, why…[Read more]
