Um, isn’t that what I wrote in the first bullet, “paying for increased storage”?
Guys…all I intended to do was provide an update. We are still diagnosing the problem and will determine an appropriate solution. And like I wrote, “Nothing for ya’ll to do yet except hang in there, and stay tuned.”I’m from Jersey…trust me. 👿 -

Not after they pay off their seedsters, they don’t.
That said, Dynamat does seem to receive univesal acclaim!I have some insulation under the carpet. The cheap stick-on, foam backed foil stuff. That’s the extent of my sound deadening. Pretty sure it doesn’t do much. 😉John is on target though. The “package shelf” acts as a megaphone, es… -

OK, thanks. But focus please. No more chatter about fund raising in this thread.
I’ll handle that in a separate thread as always. -

Thanks Allen.
Not there yet. But if that’s the soluiton, I’ll probably upgrade to coincide with the annual hosting renewal, and make one pitch for donations. The good news is the last time I had to solicit donations, I recall I received enough to cover three years.PMOSSBERG2015-07-01 12:54:57

Just a quick update…
A preliminary investigation indicates we have reached our storage limit. We are looking to confirm that is, indeed, the cause of the upload problems. And are looking at options, which may include:- payign for increased storage,
- archiving old content (not something I want to do)
- deleting pictures (also not so,ething I…

Don’t let a little wiring scare you. 😉
There are a number of pre-made wiring harnesses out there. Dune buggy hrnesses usual have just about everything you nee in a TDr. A repro Beetle harness wouldbe overkill. -
Paul Mossberg replied to the topic Genuine Dash? in the forum My Project 10 years, 9 months ago
Hi John,
I’ve not heard of anyone trying this.Based on absolutely no objective criteria, I’d guess an original dash would fit, but not perfectly.I think most of our cars are slightly bigger than an original TD. So making an original dash fit would depend on how the cowl fiberglass is molded. There might be enough surface area to mount… -

Paul Mossberg replied to the topic Front body height in the forum VW Based Kits 10 years, 9 months ago
Anything is worth a try, but I strongly suspect that won’t work.
Pulling the outer side of the fender up is going to move the inner surface of the fender closer to the body. And that means the point where the bracket meets the fender is going to have to change.
Were a betting man….that would be my bet. -

What Ed said!
If that body is already mounted to the frame, it will NEVER look right.Based on the cuts made to the rear fenders, I suspect the body has been mounted to the frame too far forward.Either that, or the frame is too short.Save your money (or your fishing boat!) -

Great analysis Kall.
Those lines show exactly what I was trying to get at in my (much too) lengthy post above.I’m not sure the fender is mounted too low. Double check the alignment from side to side where the fenders meet the body.It is possible the right fender just needs to be pulled up. The bad news there is the holes for the headlight brac… -

Kit cars are not eligible for antique plates in NJ.NJ has a “collector car” class for vehicles that are not yet antiques but are driven less than 3,000 mils per year. Collector car vehicles are only subject to a lights/wipers/horn inspection. When the collector class was intoduced (about twenty years ago) kit cars were eligible. About t…[Read more]

You might consider adding separate reflectors. That would be a pretty typical “period correct” addition.
