Heymoe, The most neglected circuit on a fiberglass bodied car, be it a vintage corvette or a VW powered kit car is the voltage regulator ground wire. I recommend a 10ga. black wire with eyelets, from the block to the voltage regulator mounting bolt. Start there, and clean all your charging circuit wire connections.

I suggest a heat gun, on medium, with heat applied to the front of the windshield directly in front of the mirror tab. Be sure to keep the mirror mounted (need the weight). Hopefully the whole thing will fall off.

The last 8 sections of fiberglass are back from painting. I have received all the remaining lights and chrome from my suppliers. I plan to have the VW powered TDr ready for the daughters wedding soon. Wish me luck.

I really enjoy the web site, very informative. Can I be identified on the members map? Thanks for your assistance.

Want to thank Dale, Dean, Lee, and Gray for the afternoon visit this past weekend. A good day spent, and I learned a lot about MGTDr”s

The rear section is about finished. Trying to refit the front components before having them repainted. The fiber glass sections are in bad shape.

Hey Dale, I’m in, Maybe on a Sunday at my house? The garage is heated, and mine is not on the road.

  • So with a new sealed fuel tank is the liner really required, just asking

      Glad to see you posted.
Still planning on checking your ride out soon. With 3 of us in the area we should be able to do some fun cruising in the Spring – knock that thing out.
If you need some help let me know.
      Dale
