Hi Kent.
The owner of the car in Indy might be referring to the build year, or the year the car was originally titled as a kit car. Indiana is very screwy when it comes to titles. examine it (the title) very carefully. It may still be titled as a VW, or a built car, or a replica. in any case… ensure the VIN (on the chassis) matches the… -

The plates were kinda pricey… But the circumstances here in Indiana warranted a little extra effort and $$ on my part to make this project legal…Doug. -

I’ll check my book…. I’m sure that any place fiberglass is touching, You’d want something there to keep the noise down.
My parts photo show a pretty large roll of rubber strip listed as “cowl strip”. Much different than the 25 foot roll of vynal welting.Stay tuned… -

Tore down the brake system last night. I figured since I’m in there, might as well do the “full monty”!
New master cylinder, lines, hoses, wheel cylinders, shoes, turn the drums, etc.Also thought I’d do a suspension make-over as long as I’m so close to the ground anyways… New seals,roller bearings, shocks, torsion bar, ends, etc.This just… -

The two clubs shown in the closest section are Harsh Winters VW (Joliet) and City of Firsts VW (Kokomo, IN). I belong to both of those clubs! Great group of folks and all the clubs enjoy hanging out together, and the clubs usually cook their oun food (YUMMY!!!)
