Hi I have a Fiberfab installed on a VW platform. I am presently restoring that car and I have to replace the floors pans…I am trying to find the serial # of the VW but I can not find anything…I removed the carpet between the seats but nothing..is it a plate or it is engraved in the steel…I need the year of the VW to order the good floor pan….HELP !!!!

There is an access panel under your seat to access the connection between the shift rod and the front of the transaxle.
The VW VIN is stamped into the chassis right above that access panel.

Just found it this morning….1969 platform (11936……)…with a 1975 engine (AJ 058…..)
Also, on top of the front axle beam I found a sticker whith these writing : VW 11340102 11 (or H) than 130CL or 1300L/1500 Made in Brezil
40 years old platform…not surprise that I have to replace the floor pans !!!!! LOL
