Hi I have a Fiberfab installed on a VW platform. I am presently restoring that car and I have to replace the floors pans…I am trying to find the serial # of the VW but I can not find anything…I removed the carpet between the seats but nothing..is it a plate or it is engraved in the steel…I need the year of the VW to order the good floor pan….HELP !!!!
There is an access panel under your seat to access the connection between the shift rod and the front of the transaxle.
The VW VIN is stamped into the chassis right above that access panel.

I’m on a 1971 chassis. I guess I have two more years to floor pans!
