Looking to sell my MG TD fiber fab Chevy based replica. Thoughts on what price these are selling for these days? It’s built on an 80’s chevette chassis/engine. 8,534 miles. Manual 5 speed. Has a newer radiator, alternator, battery, tires. A few gauges are faulty (oil pressure) but runs well.

August 6, 2026 at 10:22 am #309591I’m brand new to this club. I hope you sold your TD at a price you were happy with! You mentioned it had a newer radiator. Did you have it replaced by a mechanic or did you do it yourself? Did you have to remove front body panels to do so?
Thanks, Phileas Fogg (Dennis Elster)

"Drive Happy"August 6, 2026 at 1:29 pm #309594I replaced the radiator myself. My whole hood removes so no need to mess with body panels.

August 7, 2026 at 12:49 pm #309596Thank you very much. That was extremely helpful! I’m in new territory here, long time British sports car owner. The traditional marques have manuals and books in relative abundance, but these replicas each have their own unique personality. I ultimately want to replace the timing belt (only 19,000 miles on the car), but at 40 years old I figure it’s deteriorated.
Thanks again!
August 10, 2026 at 4:21 pm #309599Judging from the number of postings, I’m gonna guess you want to sell. I would guess the value of a running driving car at between 5k to 10k depending on condition and build
