    I’m thinking about rebuilding the head on my 1.6L Chevette engine. The

    manual says that I need a “special tool” to depress the valve springs and

    remove the rocker arm and guide. The manual also has a photo of a home-

    built tool that looks like a couple of lever arms.

    I tried to make one, but it didn’t work. I’ve searched for a tool, called Rick in

    Washington, etc. No luck.

    Help!

    Have you gone to the local autozone store to see if they have a rental tool or borrow tool for this effort.

             The tool you need is a J25477 and there is one on Ebay for 12 dollar . Wish my problems were that easy Ha! Ha!

    Thanks. I’ve ordered it. Now all I have to do is figure out how to use it!
