I had a happy experience the other day. Was trying to find a bottle of touch-up paint to fix a few very small rock chips on the front of my fiberglass “hulled” MiGi. I am not very good at this so, I got a few of the girls (they seem to be better – right?) to come out to my car with a selection of bottles from their stock. After a bit of discussion, they decided on one. Well, when I put it on, it was not even close.
I told my friendly NAPA guy about the above, and he said “let me try”. OK! He brought out a camera looking thing (looked like an old polariod) and actually laid it on my hood for a few seconds, lens down. Took it into the store and plugged it into his computer. A few seconds later the screen showed “1995-1998 Nissan White. Color code KG-5” They offered to mix me a quart because they did not stock that color in the touch up bottles or pens. I had to order it online. Finally got it. Almost perfect.Perhaps this is widely known, but not to me – until now. Hope it saves you some time and $$.April 2, 2012 at 10:41 am #249941Thanks for sharing this!
I remember buying at least a half dozen bottles of “red” Dupli-Color touch-up bottles and markling scraps of fiberglass to find a “match” for my Duchess. Of course that was 1982. Did we have computers in stores then?Paul Mossberg

It did a wonderfull job.Lots of elbow grease.[norvus can be bought on line].
