I’m watching this ebay car. If he gets anything like $17,500 for it I might just rip Bridget’s bumpers, fenders, gas tank, top and self respect right off her and put her up for sale.
January 7, 2013 at 12:15 am #253773since Ed seems to not want to share the auction, here it is:

And for all that work, you think he might have at least cut the windshield?

January 7, 2013 at 3:31 am #253775Yes, you cut the windshield down and she wouldn’t be half bad.
No, I don’t think he’ll ever see that price.Bill Ascheman

"Drive Happy"January 7, 2013 at 6:48 am #253776IMHO…he’ll be lucky to get $3500. He’s trying to get back that stated $20K he’s puportedly put into it. Not a chance in H3ll.

I think it looks pretty cool from the front. It’s the dune buggy engine treatment I object to. I think he could have T-ified it out back with a rounded engine cover. But that really would have required some skillful fabrication.

January 7, 2013 at 10:31 am #253779I’m trying to see where the $20K is!
Unless those wheels and tires are $4k a pair, he’s got the 20k hidden pretty well.Paul Mossberg

January 7, 2013 at 10:56 am #2537801600cc rebuild kit only costs $800 and a complete 1600 would run about $1 per cc. Enginewise MAYBE $2 with all the uneccessary header and chrome. Now throw in $2K for rims and another $1K for tires and you still only come out with $5K tops. Still think he wont get it.

"If one thing matters, everything matters" - from the book The ShackJanuary 7, 2013 at 11:16 am #253781That’s pretty fugly, does look more like a dune buggy with those big wheels and tires and the engine and muffler sticking way out like that. It seriously needs the rear end enclosed instead of looking like it was chopped off. And no top or at least a tonneau? The paint job is a bad color too, looks more like primer than a finish coat. Not going to get many offers at that price
January 7, 2013 at 3:55 pm #253782I see it,, but don’t get it , 32 ford look maybe not even close to a 42 look .. a nice dune buggy?? not sure . Over priced yes ,,makes ours look finished .. DanR Dan R2013-01-07 15:58:28

January 8, 2013 at 5:06 pm #253784I agree with the the fugly!!.. If he has 20 grand in that he must have paid himself 19000 in time wasted. It’s just wrong.
