I just acquired a Daytona Migi – red, with tan top & interior.
I’ve had it checked out and I’m in the process of getting it in tip top shape. I was quite pleasantly surprised to find the MGTD Kit Car Club and I’m really looking forward to being a part of it.September 6, 2013 at 10:31 pm #257608Welcome, Rick. Nice looking car.
September 6, 2013 at 11:21 pm #257609Where in VA Rick?

September 7, 2013 at 8:42 am #257613Rick, welcome aboard. It’s darn near impossible to think of anything that you could do to fix or improve your TDr that hasn’t been done by some member before. Ask a question and you will likely get more good advice that you wanted.
I think you are right in Schu’s back yard. See Bill’s post above. You could join in the caravan that is coming down to the Auto & Air show on the last weekend of October and meet a bunch of your east coast TDr owners. We already have early reservations for 4 signed up and expect another 3-4. Should be a pretty big showing and a great opportunity to look over our cars and meet and greet some of the clubs old-timers. Paul, our moderator, is coming & he built his car in the early 80’s. I’ve only had mine 2 years. If your car is not perfect, not to worry. Paul just did an engine rebuild last year, Ed has been talking about putting a Subaru engine in his for a long time, Schu just did a transaxle and clutch replacement, I just put in a clutch, Jack – well the list is endless. So come on, join the fun.September 8, 2013 at 11:15 am #257614Welcome aboard!
September 8, 2013 at 3:41 pm #257615Welcome aboard Rick. I looked at your TD and she’s really nice looking. Not a fan so much of painted rims that aren’t silver but hey…your TD is running and I’m not finished building mine yet. Again welcome aboard the best TD site in existence!

I’m in Rawley Springs – about 11 miles west of Harrisonburg.
I can’t mske the Pa event on the 14th, bjt will try to make the events later this fall. (Incidently, My wife and I drove to Scranton, PA to buy the car and drove it back to VA the next day. What a blast!
Are you located anywhere near Harrisonburg?
September 8, 2013 at 8:52 pm #257617From where I sit, Rick, you’re sitting pretty in that red TDr. Welcome, and enjoy the ride!

Slowly coming back from the ashes...September 9, 2013 at 9:16 am #257619So, Allen (Newkitman) doesn’t like the color matching wheels, but Kent does. I’m sure that Allen would go on to say, personalize it and make it yours. You’ll find that Ed (edsnova) bends over backwards to get that original Morris Garage TD look while others do whatever feels good. I don’t think that any of us are ever “done” with our changes/upgrades. We all love our TDrs and their differences. Have fun with it.
September 9, 2013 at 6:00 pm #257620You know I was studying the photograph and I noticed that it looked as if there is one yellow and one white fog light and then it HIT me!!
I think I am going to paint the rims on one side green and the silver/grey on the other!! Because I am torn and then I can judge for myself and see what others reaction would be.
Hmmmmm
September 9, 2013 at 6:49 pm #257621Don’t tell anyone….and see who notices.
September 9, 2013 at 7:57 pm #257622welcome Rick I like the red wheels and hubs…

DaleSeptember 12, 2013 at 8:42 pm #257625Can’t do too much with my MG just yet. I’m finishing up a new home build that will be hosting Thanksgiving dinner and I’m running out of time!
Once I get past that I’ll have time for the MG.
