So when I purchased my TD it came with an old canvas top (not attached) that is not in very good condition, but is still good for using as a model to have the new one made off of. The only problem is that there are some straps that go with it but they are cut up and I cannot figure out how they go??? If anyone has pictures or diagrams as to how the whole thing fits on the frame that would be wonderful! And a proper pattern would be even better.

If you need pictures let me know and I will try to figure out how they work again 😛

My guess…the straps are the ones which wrap around the top bows and are used to pull the two bows together to put tension on the roof when it is up.PMOSSBERG2013-10-09 16:17:34

If you own a TDr and are not in the Registry, please go to https://tdreplica.com/forums/topic/mg-td-replica-registry/ and register (you need to copy and paste the link)

That is what I was thinking but each of them are cut up into 3 or so pieces and I cannot figure out which order everything goes in.

Also does the canvas attach to the front or back bow? There is a channel on the underside of the canvas that one of the bows used to go through but unsure as to which one goes where?

Again pictures of an assembled one would be great help in figuring this out.

Over in the download manual tab on the left, after you check agree, look in the MiGi II manual, Part 2, page 80 (50 in the pdf version count). They explain installation of the bows and straps.
