Rake on the windshield unlike I’ve seen.

March 27, 2014 at 7:21 pm #260035Builder error. But harmless, unless you are a tall person. And easily remedied with a couple afternoons and a few hundred bucks.
The backwards steering wheel, also easily fixed, is not inspiring of confidence.edsnova2014-03-27 19:24:56
March 27, 2014 at 7:36 pm #260036My guess it was built by a short fat person.

"Drive Happy"March 28, 2014 at 12:50 pm #260037Wow $6300 and 2 days left on the auction.
March 28, 2014 at 3:27 pm #260038Looks like a nice build, except for that horrid windshield.
Ed is almost right. A couple afternoons and a few hundred bucks will fix the windshield. But you’ll spend a bunch more on a new roof and side curtains.Only other thing I see is the outside mirrors, attached to the windshield frame, will interfere with any attempt to attach side curtains. And why oh why would the builder attach mirror bases to the fenders…with no mirrors?Paul Mossberg

April 2, 2014 at 2:02 pm #260039Also missing one of our Grill Badges.LOL. And I feel it was deceiving for the seller to call it a Tribute rather then Replicar.. I think the buyer may be in for a surprise when he finds out its not an original mgtd
April 2, 2014 at 6:06 pm #260040good price for a replica..indeed
April 2, 2014 at 6:06 pm #260041Hey Bill. Long time no see!
The seller never claimed it was an original. And the ad does mention a VW engine. If a buyer misses that point, they deserve whatever they get! 😉Auction ended. But it doesn’t say ended because the item ws sold. That’s curious. There had been 54 bids; and the ad says no reserve..Paul Mossberg

April 2, 2014 at 6:26 pm #260042It’s not all that unusual. Somebody “made him an offer he couldn’t refuse”. He accepted.
