1948 Willys CJ2A. 135cu in. 4 cyl. Abt 60 hp (as I recall). When I got her (1988) she was still army green with canvas seats, 1948 lugged US Army tires and 10 spring leaves front and 11 leaves rear. Absolutely the roughest ride I have ever experienced (and I once had a buckboard). Julie wouldn’t ride in it without her “sports bra” on. Took a lot of leaves
out, put on big tires at 10 psi. Better. This car was made for speeds <50 mph and would do speeds <40 pretty well. Over 50 at your own risk. Over 55, it would eject all aboard. Off road on the mountain logging trails – a blast. Unstoppable. I used to carry a chain saw in the back when I went exploring.
