My Fiberfab MG TD Replica has a cracked windshield. None of the big guys that advertise will do it. Any ideas on how to get it replaced without buying the entire glass, frame and all? Also my chassis is a 1968 Beetle that shakes in first gear when letting out on the clutch but does fine in other gears. Any recommendations/Ideas to cause and effect? Danny Woods

It’s just a flat piece of glass. Any good glass shop, not necessarily a windshield specialist, should be able to cut a new one given a sample. They should know you will need laminated safety glass, but you might want to remind them. I’ve had a couple done this way.

Clutch chatter sometimes comes from the wrong Bowden tube. Make sure it dips about an inch, to an inch and a half. Another thing to check is the transmission mounts. If there’s some give in those, replace them. The last common possibility is the disc or pressure plate. If a little oil gets on it or something like that you can get chatter. But definitely check the other stuff first. Bridget had a little chatter in her former iteration and I just learned to finesse the clutch when starting off to minimize it.
Thanks to all who responded. I will advise on how it goes. Just love the new “TOY”. It is fun to drive and really catches looks. I am retired Navy and a 100% Service Connected Veteran and am limited on my physical abilities, but with help I’ll “GET ER DONE”. DANNY
I had the clutch chatter and was going to pull engine to check clutch. I then found bolts holding engine to trannie were a little loose. I tightened them and it started off with no chatter at all.
