Would you post a couple…[Read more]

Thanks Paul for letting me into the group.
I am not a current owner of a MG replica, but I am interested in becoming one. My Grandfather has one that I am thinking of taking off of his hands. The problem is that I don’t have a lot of information about it and while researching you find a lot of information and prices for TD models. My Gr…[Read more]

Spyder construction is complete.

Hello west coasters!
The Speedster/Spyder Owners Group that we join with at Carlisle has a large California contingent.
They get together often for impromptu drives (all over the state) and arrange a couple large scale group activities each year.
TDr owners are more than welcome to join in!
The events page in the Speedster Owners Group forum…[Read more]

The VW wiring is extremely basic. No electronic gizmos, no safety circuits, no relays unless you want one for the headlight dimmer, and the voltage regulator is very basic. Just one flasher module. Ground circuits can be a bit of a challenge, with the fibreglass body, but patience and plenty of quality wire will clear that hurdle.
Now a modern…[Read more]

Thanks Paul. No rivets in the grill, but several rivets held the body in place to a metal frame work around the grill opening. It would have been an easy job save the stinking headlight bolt on the passenger side.
My next challenge is a total rewire. I’m not going to save a thing, except for the pig tails from the individual light sockets. The…[Read more]
