Just thought I’d add… Theres an old gal here in SunLakes AZ who drives around in an original TD Plain dark green with steel rims not tearly as flashy as an replica I ever saw. It’s good Bebop weather out here now. Nothing else to report here except that you’all can get suitable windshield wiper blades from the Moss Motors catalog but cost…[Read more]

Looking about. This guy was all into documenting what fits with what. The email link still works. No idea if he’s still there though.UPDATE (and I quote):Still here.
He will need a new bellhousing. The 2.3 and 2.8 are very different.

When I took the straight 6 and 3-speed out of my ’67 Nova and replaced with a 350 from a ’74 truck and a wide-ratio Muncie 4-speed, I used the same bell housing. Ford will likely be similar. The Cologne 2.8 and the 2.3 went in the same cars and probably used all the same transmissions.Still a guess though. Did you call that Pinto owner whose…[Read more]

My cataloging is too vague for something that old. My suggestion is taka a pizza to your local Ford parts department and bribe them to cross reference the applications for both and see if they would use the same part number. I never played with the V6. I used the T-bird bellhousing from the Turbo Coupe to mate the later Mustang 5 speed. 4 cyl a…[Read more]

I’ve committed to Mustang II this week and bought a 1976 2300/4 speed parts car, but do not plan on using the engine. Does anyone know if the 2300 4 speed and bellhousing will fit on a 2800 V6?

Yep Ed you did meet my young architect son Chris briefly. He’d normally love to stand and talk cars but he didn’t feel well and didn’t even walk around and look at all the cars on the field. I got very lucky with both my boys – the older one, a retired Navy pilot, currently an American Airlines pilot.

Love that article. And Roy: you must have done something right. I think I may have shook your son’s hand the other day. That idea that the first response to a challenge or problem is to grab some tools? It’s weird now but I think that’s gonna come back. Big.

Back when schu fixed his seat with webbing, I did the same with my seats emulating what schu did. It worked great and I recommend to anyone.
