Ok after reading every thing on here and every thing else i could find ,it appears that every one is saying higher octane and no corn juice if possible.

Ed -yes,thxz so much . I beleieve its an original button which I bought off ebay It looks like it anyway !!..and the wheel is the flat 4 banjo steering wheel

Higher is “better” only if you need it.Octane numbers are a measure of a fuel’s ability to resist preignition and detonation, which we hear as pinging. John, with a regular VW engine 87 octane should be just fine.

Now that my Duchess is running again, I don’t think I EVER want to tow!Of course, that’s pretty bold of me to say, as there is no right seat passenger right now. I’m hopeful some day there will be, and she may have something to say about how far is ok in the TD.

It’s only in the last couple of years that the rubber industry has come to address the construction of their hoses as it relates to the ethanol problem. ..I use pure gas at my nearest station and as Royal sez at the no-name brand X station .They only have 93 Octane..while 7 miles away they have 87.. should I just be using 87?. thxz -

Anyone know of a good towing bar hook up for the London Roadsters? also ..I use pure gas at my nearest station. They only have 93 Octane..while 7 miles away they have 87.. should I just be using 87?. thxz
