Most folks favor the front engine cars as more authentic than the VWs. You’ll see ads for front engine cars that say “no VW stuff here,” etc. The cars seem to command a $1,000-$2,000 premium over the rear engine models. I believe the Ford powered ones are more versatile than the Chevettes, for those of the hot rod persuasion. That said, as a VW…[Read more]

Ok Allen…do NOT get me started on the Giants name!
At least there is a long history that can be used to justify retaining the NY name. But I’m one of those that think the NY should be dropped. -

Excellent photos and I know your a proud dad. She’s doing great for herself as well. Only question is why are they called the NY Giants when they play in NJ? Shouldn’t they be the NJ Giants? I’m just sayin….

MR600 is about the same height as the MG style dash mirror. And it fits mine fine.Re the Cobra comment: This is the style of mirror used on Cobras, and I am sure other cars. If you wander around Finish Line’s website you will see they are predominantly a Cobra parts supplier.

A tough decision to make. 88 Vettes are really under appreciated. Tough to sell for a decent price even in vg condition. Probably won’t rise in price much either. That’s one of the reasons I’m looking to trade. The MG’s look like fun cars to drive around in.Are the Chevette or Pinto engined ones more favorable than the VW’s?Here’s the description…[Read more]

I saw the product number and the item. My problem with that site is a 20% restocking fee if it doesn’t fit in my vehicle.

IMHO, $9000 IS HIGH ,BUT, I know of one that I personally saw back in the summer that was very comparable to your description .The owner was asking $10,500. The buyer told me that they went back and forth for a week and finally reached an acceptable price. This car had a fresh 2.3 engine and was in very good condition but needed tires since th…[Read more]

I’m not quite to the west coast (but that’s my old home grounds), but I am envious of the roads and fall colors. Too many straight ones in my town.I did have a good run up with the Miata group last weekend though. Great Italian restaurant in a place you wouldn’t expect. Top down, it was a ride for the S2000 at a pace for modern cars. I cou…[Read more]

No, it is a chain dba: Just Brakes. But they do more, like oil changes, shocks, alignments, and who knows what else.

My quest goeson.
I may have found another MG TD Replica.
This time, no Snake in the Grass Dealer.
This is a nice Two tone green with a Pinto subframe, auto, heater and A/C. He says the belt is off the A/C compressor and doesn’t no if tit works. Has a Mustang 2 front end. I’m not sure what make it is, but was factory assembled and it is not a…[Read more] -

Most of our cars came with original style TD dash mirrors. In a word…they stink. Very little adjustment range. And they are not steady.I bought a”Cobra” from FinishLine for my TD. Broad adjustment range. It as steady as it can be, sitting on a fiberglass dash in a car that is bolted and riveted together! Item number MR600 on this page:…[Read more]
