If the fuse is ok, next I would check the wipers connection. When I first got mine only one sorta worked the other nothing. turned out to be just the set screws had either came loose or were never fully tight. She had less than 1800 miles on her in the first 20+ years. I doubt if the first owners ever had her out in rain, very rarely anytim…[Read more]

Two things come to mind. Broken round and fuse. Fuse only if the wiper is on its own. If not, and the other system(s) on that fuse work then check the ground wire from the motor. Lastly check the wire from the switch.

I got convex for both of mine.

The first thing I would do is check for a blown fuse. On my London Roadster, the fuses are located under the dash on the inside of the firewall to the left of the steering column.

I thought the “break in ” time was bogus, too. I won’t trust that shop or chain again. But they did give me a lifetime warranty on pads, shoes and shocks for a minimal fee.I’ve sent e-mails to two hot rod shops here in Phoenix, so hopefully I’ll hear from them this next week. Those shop hours are not friendly to my work schedule, but maybe I ca…[Read more]

Mark I agree with Ed, break in time is BOGUS!!! The only time this might be (and thats a stretch in this case if they used all new parts) is if you had used the old rotors that had groves in them from worn out pads. If you leave the pads on long enough the rivets cut into the rotors or drums. If their too bad you replace them, if not they get…[Read more]

Wow. I don’t think I would accept that brake job. Not at that price.250 miles for the brakes to “break in” is so bogus even Click & Clack would both yell “Booooooo-gussss” if you called them on their radio show. You should do that. Bet they take the call (Tommy has an original and apparently unrestored ’52 TD). They might even give good advice,…[Read more]

I might have waited a few minutes to read all these replies. I ordered a flat for the driver’s side and a convex to replace the passenger side.. At $16.95 a pop, they aren’t going to break the bank. The center rear view mirror on the dash is also wobbly and needs to be readjusted frequently.

I agree with Larry. I replaced both fender mirrors with flat. They are totally useless. I wish I had gone with convex on both fenders. I did the same with peep mirrors on both sides. Should have used convex on passenger side. The driver side peep works great. I also installed a dash mirror, which I use mostly.

I prefer convex on both sides. It allows a wider view of what’s going on beside the car. It takes some getting used to since most cars have the mirrors on the doors instead of on the fenders but with proper adjustment and practice using them your confidence will improve.

The part of the bracket that bolts to the fender is still there, but the end is a ball where the mirror would attach.I need more than just the glass. I need the backing/holder for it, too. The passenger side doesn’t want to stay in position, so I might just replace both. After dropping over $1,600 on the brakes, I’m not going to quibble over…[Read more]

Most go with flat on drivers side and convex on the other side. You might also check on ebay as they are often available for much less than Moss.

The hot rod is back from the expensive brake job and I am NOT impressed. I don’t feel a lot of difference. The master cylinder could not be changed. It turns out there were maybe three different master cylinders for the Chevette (front end) and Just Brakes could not get the new one to work correctly. The told me I need to drive the car 250 to…[Read more]

Yes, it is still available, I think the horn just needs to
be wired, it is there, but the center cap of the steering
wheel is not wired.
The bulb is an easy fix, just never got around to it.
The car runs great, drives great and looks even better!
No spiderwebbing in the fiberglass at all, the wheel wells
on the inside have some minor rub on the…[Read more] -

I’m towing the London Roadster, which is currently engine-less up to a fiberglass expert for an estimate on repairs that I don’t want to tackle. Its new block was delivered to the machine shop this morning for the valve enlargement job and rebuild, which I hope comes to conclusion this next week. The hot rod is getting brakes and wiring figured…[Read more]

It’s sad that some people misrepresent the condition of what ever they are selling. What sounds good in the description and even looks good in the pictures ,often turns out to be completely different when the vehicle is delivered.
