Connections shouldn’t wiggle. Was the cable loose on the post or did the post move?
You will be amazed at how comparable the cost of a new cable is to a set of connectors. On the rack at Autozone, Pep Boys and your favorite auto parts store.
If the post in the battery is moving around you need a battery. One the shelf alongside battery cables. -

Yup. That’s a 58. It looks like an aircraft carrier next to your TD.
Have you looked at Citroen 2CV sites? Owners delight in posing their cars alongside large vehicles, usually with the same color scheme.

Great idea, Montie. My insurance company wouldn’t insure over $5,000 based on my purchase price for my London Roadster.

I think I’ll print a copy of that 23,950 one and give to my insurance company.

Anyone else notice the windshield, looks like they added about 4″ at the top. ?????
I like the idea of the turbo, got a friend that want to add that to mine, but I cruise about 45 max. -

That puppy will roar with a 2.3 l engine turbo charged.

The starter would not turn over this morning at first. I wiggled the negative connection just a bit and it started the engine on my next try.

I like the Brooklands windscreens behind the folding windshield.
Remember when they were for sale on the back cover of Road & Track? -

About the pounding comment. The battery posts are attached to the plates at either end of the battery. They can be broken internally by beating on the cable terminal to make it tight. Cables/connectors are cheap enough.
No pounding. -

The original TD steering wheel, with the spokes, is referred to as a “banjo” wheel:

$13,900? Really? Um….NO way! I wish these cars were worth $13,900. And sure hope he gets it. But this owner is shooting way high.

I don’t mind finding a car with some needs, the problem was that it was touted as A1, plus I trailered out my Vette 4 hrs one way fully intent on the trade. And then being insulted!

MGLondonRoadste replied to the topic Steering Wheel Angle in the forum General Discussion 14 years ago
Sorry if my first post was confusing. The top of the steering wheel tilts towards the front of the car at a greater angle than my London Roadster, Honda S2000 or Honda Odyssey steering wheels do. It feels more like it wants to be a bus steering wheel, flatter than I would like. It’s too dark for a photo tonight, but I’ll work on that t…[Read more]

Not sure what you’re saying. Post a photo? My general advice is to put the biggest banjo wheel on it you can fit. But I think everyone already knows that; it’s actually my answer to pretty much every problem.

but the paints nice .Well maybe in the picture it is .but your right I wouldn’t pay more than 3k for it.

Ray10, That one seems way over priced. Lights and fuel gauge not working? Maybe $3-4K if they were.

edward ericson replied to the topic Huge Disappointment in the forum Membership 14 years ago
Sorry for you troubles, man. The condition of the car sounds fairly typical, really. They all have pitting chrome, dried out bushings and need brakes.Hope you find one that’s all done–or at least at a price that’s reasonable.
