I would like to know from Allen the source of the Union Jack Doo Rag & from Paul the source of his miraculous wind-proof driving cap.I have worn flat caps since the 1980s (long before I acquired the appropriate car in which to wear them) and regularly have had them blown off my head whilst walking during brisk Autumn days. A cap that would stay…[Read more]

Hi B,I have a BCW/ Chevette and I love it. The foot pedals are close but the real TD I owned had the same problem; no foot room. The tourque range of the Chevette is very good and fun to drive. I can drive all day in 4th at 50 with no problem. I had a fiberfab/VW and it is a good kit. You can still get body parts in Canada. VW parts are always…[Read more]

FLA should be some good hunting grounds. Check Craigslist often. That’s where I got mine here in MD, about 10 miles from my house. Good luck!

I’ve found an embroidery gal on eBay that does an MG TD car image on polo shirts (pocket or no pocket), denim shirts, duffel bags, and more. She includes one line of lettering and I had her do “London Roadster” under the embroidered car image for a denim shirt. She’s also done shirts for me with a Honda S2000. I’m not quite up to ordering on…[Read more]

I haven’t tried driving with the driving cap above 50 miles per hour. As soon as I get up to speed on the freeway, I chicken out and toss the cap on the floor. I would hate to lose the cap that way. I lost one cap that flew out the back of my London Roadster, and I can’t find an equal replacement.

Ah that’s only because your driving cap has a chin strap!

I wear a driving cap. It stays put at 6o mph with high winds.

Thread drift…but I’m blaming Allen!
Allen…my old stomping grounds!
As a kid (early to mid-1960’s) I spent my summers in a tiny house on North Road in Peru. No running water, but we had a two-seater out-house, which I thought was hysterical because NO ONE ever used it two at a time! My great-grandfather built the house in 1909, his daughter, my…[Read more] -

All TD kits are not built to the same dimensions. If your kit is Fiberfab or CMC you are in luck. MGMagic stocks parts for them.

If I had my TD built I’d do it. Chatannooga, TN to Bennington, VT. bet it runs through Pittsfield, Mass. (my hometown) too dag nab it. Next year. And Carlisle too!

Ed…I resemble the some hair remark! Actually……….I HAVE a Union Jack and American Flag doo rag I wear when I worked on my Ghia. And will use them again when working on the TD. The heat and humidity here in the middle of Georgia is wicked and the doo rag keeps the sweat out of my eyes and the gnats away from my ears.
