Thanks, Dan. It’s the walnut piece that came with the kit in 1980, I think. Delaminating a bit in the left corner but otherwise still pretty nice.

Thanks.Just fitting the instruments now & chasing down electrical gremlins. But yes. The plan is to make a new dash–I have the wood for it–including a glove box. Hope to be done in a few months. Probably not by Carlisle, but maybe, if I get a some lucky breaks.Mean time I hope to get the car back driveable in the coming weeks using the old…[Read more]

Wow Ed,, That dash is looking great!! It’s the first one I’ve seen using the MG center . Looks really ”British” . The more appropriate size speedo and tach are a very nice touch.

Is it necessary to shift 1-2-3-4 when starting from a complete stop? Is it necessary to shift to a lower gear when climbing steep hills? Is it more efficient to use lower gears for slower…[Read more]

Beautiful here in Baltimore for the last couple days. Dried clothes on the line today, cooked hotdogs on the grill. Spent most of the afternoon in the garage, messing with Bridget’s interior bits. Got some new carpet, new instruments. Started my new dashboard project. Installed the center cluster, though not wired up yet.Looks fairly TD-ish, I think.

Nice one, Doug. Like I said before, your car is totally cool. Would love to see it at Carlisle though I’d understand if towing the thing clear from Illinois seems to you counter-productive of the car’s purpose.Still, would love to cruise with ya, and would very much like to see that beast up close.Carry on. Stay in contact.
