Pretty sure my Classic Instruments speedo is working as intended, just that the PO never installed the little gear adjustment box described in the instructions. Moss has the wiper parts for sale. I’d skip the original-style repro motor at like $325 though. Hot rod and/or boat supply places can get you something very close for $30-$70.

 Ed. On my VWbased car ,the cable connects directly to the VDO speedometer without an adapter. When the speedometer ”broke” on the car I recently sold [also VW  –VDO] I was able to fit the ”works from a VW speedometer into the VDO case. The same cable that fit the VDO also fit the VW speedometer.

 dbrock, Looks like your car is a candidate to use the MG type wiper  mounted to the top of the windshield frame. See Deerebills gallery to check out how he did this. A streetrod  parts supplier can supply the parts. Without the dimples on the cowl , I don’t know how it would be possible to use the VW wiper system.

I am new on yours site. Olso I am from Europ. Iam looking to bay one TD replica on VW shasy. In europe is nearly inposible to find TD replca. If you find tham this is in England witch is not good because thay have driving will on right side.
