Hey Paul,
You really went to work on this one! Great job!If Bill can’t land a deal on one, it sure won’t be for lack of effort. Again, that’s what makes this Club and Forum great. (Plus the occasional comical anecdotes)

The grill for $160. would just be the center slats.
The rad shell for $500 is 70 miles away, and I have a call into them, and am waiting for an answer from them.
Thanks for all the replies. -

Tires that narrow on these little cars make them a handfull to drive. (Ask the Vintage Racers).
The large diameter spoked wheel doesn’t stay true for long either…the ambient temperature even affects them. (Also straight from Vintage Racers and they drive on pool table smooth tracks).
Something to consider before you attempt a swap. Good luck if…[Read more] -

Hope you score those valve covers. -

Years ago, I was stranded when the bolt that holds the timing belt pulley to the auxillary shaft came loose. Easy fix, but what a mess. Rubberneckers had the bypass backed up for 2 exits.

Rob,
Thanks, that confirms my findings. I’m going to stick with End Dust for now because it seems to have a little less oil in it. Sure makes a quick detail easy and painless!

Rich,
I’ve used pledge on my Kayak the below is from the Old Town website.
How do I clean my Old Town canoe or kayak?
HULL EXTERIOR: Wash with mild soap and water. You can also use Murphy’s Oil Soap. To beautify, we suggest a vinyl protectant product such as Armor All?, 303 Products or Pledge. These are safe for use on any of our PolyLink3?,…[Read more] -

ALL FIXED!
The nylon clip arrived from Rick Drake and took less than ten minutes to
install. Test drive successful. Shifts like a new car. Total cost: $19. Total
time: two hours. Now all I gotta do is fix the overheating problem. It runs up to 212 degrees.

You are right James. That is not a grill for an MG, original or replica. If anyone is interested, those are body parts for a Classic Roadsters Duchess. Judging from the mounting points around the passenger compartment, it looks like they are for a VW.

I just looked at it. I was wrong, it was in the replica section. The radiator part shown is totally wrong.

File the wood spokes down and drive very, very carefully!
I know of nothing “out of the box”.Maybe if you find wheels, you can have the drums redrilled and tapped for the new bolt pattern? If you are looking for spin on hubs and wheels, then I’m really at a loss.

Paul Mossberg replied to the topic Radiator Shell in the forum VW Parts Wanted 16 years ago
Hey, there’s an idea! Maybe you’ll run into an un-built kit selling for $1,000 or less. Buy it, use the grill and have a ton of spare parts! And I’m only half-kidding.

Pink MG,
Thanks for these two web sites (fordpinto.com) I have been looking on the internet for two weeks trying to find a set of valve covers for a 2.8L. And with your lead I think I found a set in Florida. Just hope they are still available.
