I built my FiberFab Ford kit on the FiberFab frame about 7 years ago. The ride height in the front was too low with the original Ford coils that had two coil turns removed. I replaced with 275 lb Heidts springs from Summit Racing shortened by 1 1/4 coil turns. If I had it to do over, I would shorten the coils an additional 1/4 to 1/2 turn to set…[Read more]

WOW! That must be some kind of sales speed record! Congrats to both parties. Hopefully the buyer is already a member and will post progress pics of the build.
The speed of the sale sort of reminds me of when I purchased my London Roadster. It was posted on eBay for only 9 hours before I saw it and had to have it . I guess if it’s what your…[Read more]

Several modifications already done on this kit with the three link rear suspension and front tubular control arms. Newer model engine with serpentine belt and no thermactor holes in the head.

I’m running Alden Eagle coilovers with 500# springs. I remember running those original springs. They’ll knock your teeth out.

@schu , It’s been like a year since we last talked…Virginia DMV still has a suspension on my driver’s license, and I am tired of leaving the car in the garage without finishing it up. Do you have any idea how to jack the darn thing with a floor (trolley, roller) jack? The frame is newer than I thought and does not have the side jacking…[Read more]

I have a TD on a Ford frame and the springs are too hard for me. The front weight is 850 pounds on the double wishbone setup. The original was probably around 1050 pounds. Any idea what the rating should be to soften these a bit?

Transaxle is back.
Also did a guide coat on the inner clam last night. Not bad, but still needs a full sand-down and maybe one or two more trips with the filler.
By the way, those irregular little humps running in the valleys are bogus “weld fillets,” which are period-correct and will remain.

Man, I do like the look of a nice raw aluminum high rise dual-plane intake.

Well, all this crawling around, getting up and down and bending over this engine, I threw my back out last Friday, the 20th. I have been able to do very little since then. I’ve put some hoses on it to see where things will have to be run. Installed the dipstick tube. I’ve decided to eliminate the old battery box and use that location for the…[Read more]
