Jersey Shore car: 1928 MG
Brooklyn car: 1942 MG
Old Bridge NJ: 1949 MGTC
Rochelle Park: 1957 MGTD
I have to wonder if any of these ads are legitimate. Let the buyer beware.

@pmossberg Darn it. I saw that thread but forgot about it in my testing. I’ll take a look this evening and see if I can get them fixed. It looks like a simple fix to my code.

Thanks guys, Paul in particular that is all very helpful.
I checked the fluid reservoir tonight after filling it Sunday and found the rear brake piston side drained. No puddle though! Not sure where it’s going unless the rear pistons are completely dry. I filled it up again and I’ll check on it tomorrow.
I light of that information I think I’…[Read more]

Ed, that is incredibly helpful! I’ll get on it. Can I ask two more questions, though? First, would it be safe to drill that tiny hole into the filler neck even though there’s gas in the tank? Probably should be, as long as the cap is still in place while I’m drilling (?). I don’t want to set my car and house on fire. Second, what is a “crush…[Read more]

drill a small hole in the side of the filler neck just under the cap. Make the hole about the diameter of this. Which you buy. JB weld it in. (Or use this stuff, fuel-safe). Wait a day or so for the the epoxy to set up.
Run the tube up a little above the cap’s level, then down in front of the tank, to just above the little hole in the floor pan…[Read more]

Thanks again Stephen! You’re really doing a great job.
Question – How about photo links that go to the old site? Use the Car registry thread as a working case. Wherever a member had a picture of their car in the old gallery, I included a link to the photo. The pictures are not embedded. They are just links.
I just checked. None of those links work.

The discussion Al mentions does not really help me. I have no vent at all right now. That’s really odd, but that’s the way the guy built it. When I got the car, the gas cap was poorly sealed and the garage smelled like gas all the time, and a tank would evaporate in short order. However, I’m sure he never had my problem of fuel starvation. Si…[Read more]
