Oh, almost forgot, there are some additional ‘profile fields’ presented when registering that you can fill in at anytime in your profile. They are on the screenshot above.
Location –> City, State, etc.
TD Replica –> they type(s) of replicas you have
Donor –> What’s it built on.
I was thinking of adding latitude and longitude with a…[Read more]

Good news, at least from the administrative side of the site, it looks like the new registration form is really cutting down on spammers! This will free up more of my available time to work on other site changes.
Thanks also to @rosebud-and-bill for reporting one spammer we missed that got in before the new form was in place. Anyone can report a…[Read more]

Great Find Stephen! Noticed that the reference to the British Coach Works “Model 52” is from before the GM engined (Chevy Chevette/Pontiac 1000) and factory built cars were available.
I’m still learning about my own car and this site, but the front engined BCW TDr variation had a custom frame based on the original TD and did not use the GM…[Read more]

There are a LOT more kit car options out there than I ever IMAGINED!
If you had the time, tools and room (and guts!) you could make just about ANYTHING!
Thanks for posting!

Getting ready to install my seatbacks. As I usually do, I performed my parts check to be certain I have everything I need. Alas…I’m missing three small piece/parts. I have a CMC/Fiberfab VW kit and if you check the assembly manual, on page 64 it shows the “mounting foot” and those I do not have. The center hole in the mounting foot is a bit…[Read more]

The ‘Libray’ menu item now has a dropdown for the sections of the Library page (Manuals, References, and Technical Articles). I’ve also copied over the first two Technical Articles and am working out how to import the remainder and build a system where we can easily add more.
As usual, I’ll update with progress as it goes.

I have yet to pull Bridget’s body off the pan. The repair she needed didn’t require it–it was the pan part just behind the front beam. I bought the part, ground off the old one, made some bracing with angle stock for the other nearby rusty parts, bolted the panel in and drove the car to the muffler place. Then I asked nicely if they could do it…[Read more]

Man, imagine buying one of those 32 original Ferrari 250 GTOs in 1984 for the whopping total of “up to $85,000.”
That was like four new Corvettes then! Crazytown!

@sabreur76 Excellent addition! Glad to see that you can get things into the Library. Really hoping that we can start to have more similar contributions and spread the maitenance load among us!
Now I’ve got some evening reading 🙂

I’d say they are all legitimate, but often folks often have no clue what these things are…. especially if inherited from old Uncle Bill or Grandpa. The TDr’s from people who know what they are were up above $10K and I didn’t think it was worth posting here.

Yes, it was quick and dirty and I had it done before breakfast.
I also added some fields to the registration form to deter spammers. Based on the short period of time it’s been there it seems to be doing the trick. You can take a look, but you need to be logged out otherwise you don’t see the actual form.
