You can thread the aluminum hose through the pipes and then through the hole in the tin. The pipes crush it a bit, but it works OK. Use the silvery stuff. I had mine on for years and it did not burn.

Me too. But I had to clear my browser’s cache to get it to work.

Looks like you’re doing what I did, Jim. You uploaded the pics and then grabbed the url from the browser window on top. That don’t work. But if you right-click the photo you’ll get a little menu which includes the url. THAT’s the one to paste into that “source” pane here.
This method is new to all of us. You timed your arrival perfectly!

For those running the heat exchangers and the TD style single exhaust tip muffler, how do you connect your cooling air hose for the right side? I ask because on mine, the muffler tube to the cylinder head is in the way of making the standard connection. No problem on the left side.

Ed, the Air and Auto is on the 15th of Oct. this year, the rain date is the 29th. I was thinking about going to see the Gentlemen race so I’ll keep and eye on it and post the dates when they go up. Bill said he’s in so that’s at least the three of us. I’m still not convinced about the Kimber run, they have it billed as a “club event” on th…[Read more]

Have to agree with Edsnova. I had cut too much out of my hood and made it too thin. My body shop told me it would crack, so I had to reinforce it, but they weren’t really interested in helping. OK, I had never worked with fiberglass before — was scared to try it, but someone had to do it. I read a lot and watched a lot of YouTube videos, and…[Read more]

Thanks Kall, I’m fairly certain it’s the tires. They’re original, but with the baby here within a few weeks, Zella’s going to have to wait to get new shoes.

I don’t know of a source for replacement body panels. Do you know the manufacturer of your replica? The parts don’t necessarily interchange between them.
The good news: it’s only fiberglass. Some cloth, resin and a squeegee, then some sandpaper, and you’ll be good as new.
Oh, and hey: Welcome to the club! TD Replicas are Unmatched fun-per-$
