But John, you are sooooo close!! I hate to see you pack it in now. I think all this will be forgotten when you resolve these last few things. Good luck either way.Sam

Wow, John, sounds like youve been to the woodshed one too many times for something you didnt do. Im sorry for your heartache. Im hoping that your car finds its way to the right owner who can restore her without the headache.I pray that in the same way that we dont find a dog, a dog finds us, a compleated kit will find you and bring you back home…[Read more]

First off welcome ! I put 2 fuel filters in 1 near carb 1 behind shroud . This was recommended by someone here . When my rear wheel bearing went bad you knew it was a bearing by the way it acted when driving . My mechanic built a tool to press the new one in .I believe there is a assembly diagram somewhere on here . Good luck

As much as I love you guys (figuratively!), I will be heading off into the sunset. Here’s why:
1) Original VW mechanic overcharged and wasted months of time, and didn’t do a number of things right;2) Body shop held onto my car for six months before they did anything … finally got it back and the doors wouldn’t close properly and the chrome on… -

Count me and the Green Goose in. I’ve been jealous reading about the adventures at Carlisle.Bout’ time we got an event for us wrong-coasters.The Scottish event at the Queen Mary has an English car ‘show’. I’ve been a couple of times. The Goose always causes trouble.

If so, I know youll find it at Car Craft in Riverside CA. Otherwise it should be in the EMPI catalog and your local bug shop can order if they dont have one.Hope this helps, otherwise just put me…[Read more]

I love Pismo and Shell beach! Sounds like a great mid point for us. The roads are scenic but easy climbs for our kits. There are a few reasonable inns there for those who want to make a weekend out of it. Might I suggest Hearst castle for the sunday after our meet, its well worth it!Im not sure if they have an In and Out Burger but if not well…[Read more]
