If you go Boxster make sure it had the IMS bearing replaced already.
If it were me I’d look (again) at the Honda S2000. Cool car, not common, loads of fun. Try to find one that some boy racer has never messed with. They’re out there.Fox-body Mustangs I never loved, though some people do love them and they make a pretty stout hotrod. If I had one,… -

I’m glad they chose a couple shots with you and your car, Vicenc. Couple years ago they had Bridget in the slideshow. It was a proud moment.

Hi Greg,
For polishing… 1,100 to 1,300 RPMFor cutting…2,000 to 2,500For a beginner (which I am) a dual action buffer (aka random orbital) is safer than an orbital. The latter just spins. The former spins, and moves the entire head, resulting in a more random action on paint surface.Any orbital buffer can burn the paint, regardless of the… -

That’s funny, Bob. The world looks like that when I don’t have my glasses also.

That blurred picture of your car is almost as bad as I see without my eyeglasses on.😆Now my eyes are tired. 😉 That’s a bunch of pictures you linked to back in August that I must have missed seeing before.
So many car colors. I thought maybe my black car would be a common one. Maybe not, eh?Thanks for the picture show! -

Here’s the reference for Ed’s story: http://www.caroholic.com/52TD.htm
About two thirds down the page in the “September 17, 2006 – Brown’s Island British Car Show” entry. -

Key word, my man: BOGUS.
I read a story once wherein a TD replica owner showed up at a British car show and was waved through the gate to enter. “It’s a German spy,” he told the uncomprehending dude-at-the-gate.Supposedly won an award. -

Yes Ed, bogus British something. But not muscle. The muscles behind these bogus Brits are American, German and Japanese. 😉

I’d go $1,000. If he’d deliver.
Basically, this is Bill Ascheman’s car, de-tuned. Or a nice load of spares for Bill! -

Yes, let’s once again flex our bogus British muscle, stand tall for the Allies, stiff upper lip & all that rot. 🙂

Or just add seats and drive it on Daytona Beach.
Yeah, gee, I didn’t pay much more for my completed car; including top with boot, side curtains and tonneau cover. Gratefully so.And to think that price is actually less than a new kit was 25 years ago without the donor car.Maybe someone will eventually get it for several grand just to have fun… -

Looks like A LOT of work! No gauges, interior, etc. so needs more MONEY, too!
I paid $300 dollars MORE for my COMPLETE LR and drove it from Chicago to Champaign, IL the next day.:cool:But if you’re looking for a challenge, GO FOR IT!
