Great stuff! Glad to hear about all the successes!”…just what she did.” Ya, I can relate to that. The first time I drove my ’65 Plymouth to the Chryslers at Carlisle show, I ended up dumping trans guts all over Clay Street (approach street to the fairgrounds). Turns out the auto trans had been slipping….really bad…and the highway run the day…[Read more]

Jack,Check out a How To Keep Your VW Alive book. I believe Mr. Muir gives a small account of what happens when the polarity is reversed.

I to had a fender rub . The brace on a London Roadster attaches to the top of the shock . The has a oval bolt hole so the brace can be pushed up or down there forth raising or lowering the fender. All I did was use a floor jack with a 8 in. block of wood raised to desired height and tightened nut.

Adding to Paul’s question are the fenders too low? (also thinking out loud). In my fiberfab manual, in the headlight bracket installation, the manuals says to make sure the fenders are at the same height by supporting the fenders with 2x4s. Then you attach the bracket to the fender. Might that be the problem?

I’m confused…
To insure the S2000 as a “classic” is has to be 2008 or newer? Doesn’t seem to make sense to me. -

Ditto what Bill said.
Shocks do not control ride height. -

I will buy one for 2014. The current one graces my office at home next to the oak rolled-top desk, with a Franklin Mint MG TD in a display case on top.

Good bye, Mrs Peel. I’d be really hard up for cash before I sell either of my motor toys. Even a large dollar offer couldn’t buy what I have now in either car. I suppose if I ever get good and tired of a toy, I’d consider selling it. But I don’t see myself even close to that stage yet.Good luck with your new venture.

Unless it’s a coil over, a simple shock replacement isn’t going to alter your ride height.

Shakey, did you already swap your front wheels side to side? Offsets can vary a bit with those four-lug wheels–even those that all look the same. And you don’t always get a matched set.

OK Dale. And Bill, Gabor, Paul: Let’s pick a specific shop or lot at that waypoint? Looks like Hornes has a big enough lot. Take a left on 17 and pull over on the right.
So its 295, 95/495 to exit 7A– rt5, Branch Ave South. Then 5-301 to RT 17.edsnova2013-10-06 21:02:10

Ed, if it works per Roy’s suggestion, I will gladly pay the shipping. Also, still curious about the distr. you are using with the 34 PICT. Let me know how the test works out and I’ll get with you on shipping payment. Thanks for your help.Sam
