Royal, Your are right pump to tank. The problem was the nipple loosened not the clamp or hose.

Greg, I am a little confused. I assume that you are talking about the fuel line that runs from the tank to the pump?? The one from the pump to the carb is under a small pressure and would not allow air to leak in, but would allow gas to leak out all over the engine.
But, a leak in any of the fuel hoses is extremely dangerous, especially on an… -

Well, I’m pleased with the final color.
Rust Oleum rattle can brown. It buffed out half decent.
Last night I stripped the car down to the bare tub and buffed and waxed the light color panels.Began reassembly this afternoon.
Fenders should get a final going over and start installation tomorrow. I’m kinda liking the wheels.

Drove to Monticello NY today (for some fun time on the Monticello Motorsports Track in a fleet of new 2014 Corvettes), then on to Syracuse to pick Lauren up, and then back home to PA.Great day…beautiful early fall colors.

Eddy, thanks. Perhaps when I get the info from Allen, it will show me the main jet and I’ll drill it per your note.Sam

I just drilled my main jet out with a 55 drill bit. A very nice improvement in performance a drivability, possibly some loss of fuel economy but I’m still getting better than 25 us MPG. Some people reduce the power jet to 50- 55 but I left mine alone, I’m not into the power jet very often! ( I drive my car fairly easy)

Apparently my wife was right when she said my vision was getting as bad as my hearing. It looked black to me at first, but now that I know differently I can see it’s green.
Regardless, Mike, you have a sharp-looking set o’ wheels there. Drive with pride!

Decided to make use of the 1 1/2 inches inside the door for storage. First I made a frame. It was interesting, with every curve different and every angle too. Vinyl was glued to inside of door and frame just fits tightly, so no need to attach it anywhere. Outer panel holds it all in place.

Eddy, it sounds like this is worth a try. I’m not a carb guy so if you or anybody can point me to where I can find out how to change the main jet and where to buy the 127.5 or 130 main jet it would be appreciated. Thanks.Sam

The 30 pict carb is usually a fairly mild-mannered thing and easy to tune, at least compared to the 34! Myself I would rather run a 30 and suffer the small loss in power than put up with the nonsense the 34 is capable of. The 30 pict is usually way to lean on the main jet for smooth power, it probably worked ok with a new, tight engine but most of…[Read more]

Ok, here is where I stand. In the process of changing back to the 30 pict carb I discovered a bad spark plug wire, so got a new set of wires and distr. cap and installed them. I set the 30 pict up (again) per the link above with the vol scrw out 2 1/2 turns and the by pass scrw out at 2 turns. When I started the car and warmed it up and couldn’t…[Read more]
