    I am probably bias but I think the TD2000 Roadster is the best – great pretender replica MG ever produced.
    It’s front engine rear wheel drive with a high build quality.
    The TD2000 was not imported to the USA because it was marketed as a low production new car but without air bags etc. One – LHD- TD2000 car was manufactured to USA specs, with airbags and special shock recoil bumpers etc and displayed at car shows in the USA. Interest was reasonably strong but it never went into production.
    In 1988 the TD2000 sold for around $40k – AU. my Malaysian built car imported to Australia in 2004 cost $72.000 -AU.
    So eventually the just got too expensive to build and production stopped in around 2006.
